NTU GIVING

Q&A

Are donations to NTU tax deductible?
  • 發布單位:Office of Financial Affairs

Yes. Donations given by private businesses and individuals to public educational institutions are considered donations to the government. They may be included in that same year's expenses report and there are no limits on the amount donated. After receiving your donation, NTU will send back an official receipt for tax deduction purposes. Regardless of the amount donated, its entirety can be deduced from the total paid in income taxes that same year. However, if the amount donated exceeds the amount paid in income taxes, the remainder may not be used for tax deduction in next year's income taxes.
