4.Are donations tax-deductible in Taiwan?

Yes. NTU is a public educational institution, and all donations made to NTU are tax-deductible within the limitations of Taiwan tax laws. After receiving a donation, NTU should issue an official receipt to its donor for tax deduction purpose. There are no limits on the amount of a donation. However, donors may not carry forward the amount over their tax deductible figure to following years. On the other hand, if you wish to make a gift qualified for tax deductions in the U.S., please contact and donate to NTUADF. (Please understand that it would take much more time to process your gift via NTUADF comparing to the average processing time of donations made in Taiwan directly to NTU.)
